How do I place my order?

The quickest way to place your order from Stenhouse is on this website using a credit card (Mastercard, Visa, American Express, or Discover).

Orders placed on Stenhouse.com are considered personal purchases and are taxable. Applicable sales tax will be added to all orders placed on the website.

Can I use a District Purchase Order?

While we do not accept Purchase Orders for online orders, we are happy to accept District Purchase Orders on orders placed through our Customer Experience team.

How will my order be shipped?

Orders are sent via ground service from our warehouse in Kentucky. Please allow 3 business days for processing before your order ships.

What should I do if I need my order sooner than 7-10 business days?

All orders placed online are shipped via ground service from our warehouse in Kentucky. If you need your order more quickly, please contact us to determine expedited options and additional charges.

What if the title I want is on backorder?

Occasionally titles become temporarily unavailable. In these cases, you may still place your order and it will ship via ground service as soon as we have restocked.

You may also consider checking with other major retailers, who may have inventory available immediately.

How do I place a pre-order for a book that will be released in the future?

Titles are available for pre-order on Amazon up to nine months ahead of their release date and we encourage you to order early.

Pre-orders will become available on Stenhouse.com approximately 30 days ahead of release date.

Please note that release dates are approximate.

How do I order an eBook?

While we do not sell eBooks on Stenhouse.com, eBooks for most of our titles are available through major retailers include Amazon, Barnes & Noble as well as school and library providers including eBook.com, Overdrive, and Cengage/Gale.

What do I do if I wish to return a book?

If you placed your order from Stenhouse, we accept returns from educators within 90 days that are in re-saleable condition. Returns require prior authorization from Stenhouse Customer Service. To make arrangements for a return, contact Customer Service. Please do not return materials to the PO Box address. Returns should be sent to:

If you placed your order through another retailer, please initiate your return though that retailer.

What should I do if I received a damaged book?

Occasionally printing or binding errors occur. In these cases, we want to be sure to replace your book. If you ordered directly from Stenhouse, please contact our Customer Service team.

If you ordered from another retailer, please report your damaged book to the retailer from whom you purchased.

What should I do if I suspect the book I purchased from a retailer is counterfeit?

Unfortunately, sometimes popular books are counterfeited. The best way to avoid purchasing a counterfeit book is by purchasing directly from Stenhouse.

If you purchase from another retailer, please be sure to check the ratings and reviews of the seller. If you receive a counterfeit, please report it to the retailer from whom you purchased and request a replacement. Typically retailers respond very quickly to counterfeit reports, replace your book, and de-activate the counterfeit seller.

How can I reach a Stenhouse author directly?

The best way to reach a Stenhouse author directly is through their social media or personal website (you will find these links on their author page on Stenhouse.com). To protect their privacy, we do not provide contact information. However, we are happy to forward an email to an author if you send it to authors@stenhouse.com.

Do you offer volume discounts?

If you are a school, district, library, or other institution looking to purchase more than 100 copies, please contact CustomerService@Stenhouse.com to receive a Price Quote. We will ask you to provide the ISBN, title, quantity, shipping, and billing addresses to provide your Price Quote.

How do I pay an invoice I received for an order placed with a Purchase Order?

Please submit payment to Stenhouse, PO Box 715104, Cincinnati, OH 45271 or call 614.487.2261 to pay via commercial credit card. Our preferred payment method is Automated Clearing House (ACH) network transfer. For ACH information, please e-mail us at ar@zaner-bloser.com.

For your protection, please do not send credit card information for payment via e-mail. We adhere to strict payment card industry rules and, to protect the transaction information, request all commercial card payments be handled via phone call to our accounts receivable representatives.

What are your prices?

The price for each book is listed on its associated product page. Stenhouse reserves the right to change prices without notice.

The prices on Stenhouse.com reflect a 25% discount from the list price, which is the discount we extend to teachers and schools. Distributors, catalogers, retailers, and other non-school customers are not eligible for this discount.

All orders are subject to acceptance by Stenhouse.
